Abby Andrews was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and grew up in Dallas, Texas. She earned a bachelor of science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she met her husband, started a food truck and gave birth to their first child. With returning home always on her mind, she eventually settled in Kelowna, BC, with her family, where she gave birth to their second child and began writing. She currently homeschools her two children, grows flowers and prefers to spend as much time outdoors, or in bed with a cup of tea and a book, as possible. She finds inspiration in what most would call the mundane, finding time between mothering her children and herself to scratch out lines of poems, pondering the nature of what makes up a life. You can catch her on a paddleboard in the summer, or on skis in the winter, but always with a small notebook tucked away to jot down ideas and moments that spark inspiration for what to write about next.
